40+ Years Playing
Please don’t hesitate to drop me an email, and let’s chat about you and what you would like to achieve.
With over 40 years of playing and teaching guitar, it’s been a pleasure to guide a wonderful and diverse range of students towards their goals.
I love and embrace online teaching with passion and it’s enabled me to pass my expertise on to anyone interested in learning the guitar, anywhere in the world.
All my lessons are taught live and direct from my recording studio. I use the very latest high-quality audio equipment along with a 3 HD camera operating system, digital whiteboards, high-quality microphones with the ability to share music, tab, and save video as a reference to each lesson.
Being a student myself from the age of 5 and having one to one tuition for 14 years, I understand the superior benefits and gains that can be made from a great teacher. The insight, the guidance, the feedback, what you should be practicing, and most importantly what you shouldn’t. Not forgetting the mental approach, the encouragement, the support with exams, live shows, nerves, all this, is something that you just can’t gain from just videos, apps, and books.
Whether you are just a beginner or are looking to improve your skills to an advanced / pro level, I have a wealth of experience to offer. Not just as a teacher but as a session guitarist, performer, writer, and music producer.
"The great thing about Mike is not only is he a profound teacher and musician, he has become a great friend."

Everyone is different and everyone has a different ear for music. We all develop in our own way, so it is imperative I understand your aspirations and that you are inspired by my teachings. As they say ‘The teacher and the taught create the teachings’
Learning an instrument can be a very personal journey. We are all individuals, which makes us all unique players in our own right. The art of teaching is not just having many curriculums to work to or from, but knowing the students' direction and guiding them to their goals in a structured way that suits their needs. If you don’t feel you have a direction, then together we will find it.
With all that in mind, please don’t hesitate to drop me an email, and let’s chat about you and what you would like to achieve.
